Boogsoup, What a horrible experience you had. It makes you wonder what the Doctor was thinking by not calling you? Then the office calling and says you weren't there! That is so incompetent. They should send you a letter of apology. Word of mouth about doctors spreads fast in Ocala. They should consider that fully. I am glad you posted this to let everyone know.
Good luck with your new doctor.

Hello all. I am not yet a mommy but have been trying for almost 10 months now. I currently go Dr. Hunt and really don't like him. I feel uncomfortable and I feel like my concerns are quickly dismissed (as if I'm the stupid patient who knows nothing). I really need some advice on a DR. that listens and has experience in possible infertility. PLEASE let me know. Thanks!

I also struggled with infertility and was sent to Shands. At the same time, I was seeing a Dr. in Orlando who deals with the Creighton Method (natural family planning). To make a long story short, I did not like my Dr. at Shand's....he had a 1 size fits all approach. I would highly recommend the Dr. in Orlando. It is quite a drive, but he was willing to work with me. He is not an OB, so when I got pregnant I found one here in Ocala, but I feel I was successful because he (and his wife) are willing to listen.
His name is Dr. Hartman (321)-422-1214. His wife is the one who actually specializes in the Creighton Method and then he see's patients who have infertility problems and may need progesterone...etc.
As a side note, I am 6 months pregnant and go to Dr. Johnson. He and his ARNP are terrific and I would highly recommend them!

I fortunately didn't have an infertility issue but I did LOVE my OB DR. Her name is Dr. Sandra Murphy right here in Ocala. Her office is called A Woman's Touch. Since it was my 1st pregnancy I was scared outta my mind but she made me feel at ease with EVERYTHING.

I am currently 4 1/2 months preganant with my second child and I see Dr Johnson-after being referred to him. He and his ARNP Sharon are great, they also just hired a PA and she was really nice too. The whole staff is really nice and between the two of them they have been deliveribg babies for many years!!!

I had infertility problems and saw Dr. Johnson. He is wonderful...I had seen Dr. Hall for 18 years but felt it was time for a change. I have a 3 year old son that took 9 years to conceive and am now pregnant and he/she took almost 3 years to conceive. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff.
The other thing is for people to be careful about giving info on VBAC'S. I am looking to try a VBAC. I had a csection with my son and it was HORRIBLE. It is major surgery....there is more risk with csections and not to be taken lighly. There were complications with the spinal and was poked 4 times. Two of which were patches. The recovery was long and painful. There is such a slight chance on a UR. Do your research on the topic. Alot of hospitals will do them. Good luck to all you mom's and mom's to be. God Bless

Dr. Delcharco is one of the most amazing ob-gyn doctors that I have met. When I found out I was pregnant finally after 11yrs of trying. I chose him to be my dr. And with my oldest child being the only child for 11yrs I wanted him to be a big part of the new baby. So he went to every drs. appts. with me, and during one of our visits he asked dr.Delcharco about him being in the delivery room. Dr. Delcharco sat down and talked to my son about what could happen. He helped prepare my son for the birth of my daughter. Dr. Delcharco also let me have her natural after my son was delivered by emergency c-section and he warned us that if something was to start going wrong that he would take her by c-section. Thankfully everything went smooth, and I believe it was because I had such and awsome DR.. Other family memebers have used him also and believe he is just wanderfull.. Lynn

PLEASE DON'T GO TO DR. SANDRA MURPHY. I've read alot of what was said about her & I have to say it's true. She really doesnot care about her patients. She has never even had any children. The nurses at MRMC said they would not use her as their dr because of things they have seen & heard. Her office hours are a joke. She never answered my questions, made a terrible decision w/ my vaginal delivery & recovery and now I have had surgery to repair what she did & it could have been prevented. I will require further surgery. I don't want anyone to have to go thru what I have had to experience. It has been a nightmare. Please please don't go to her!

Holy cow! Dr. Sandra Murphy is getting some bad reviews here. Wish this site had been around when I was pregnant with little bit. Of course, I probably still would have gone to her since she was the ONLY OB doc that would see me. I once spoke to a woman at my daughter's ped office who said Murphy had verbally dismissed her when she was 8 months pregnant and the woman had to scramble to get another doctor to see her. I couldn't believe it when she told me what Murphy had done to her. Makes you wonder how someone like Murphy stays in business.
Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body. Proud Mom to Summer Grace (6/3/07)

She is VERY rude, treats you like a noper pay check comming in, does not care about your health at all!! I alwased asked how my blood pressure was and she said "It's fine don't worry", yet that same day Iwent to he hospital and it was 180/121!!!! She is awful!!! I reccamend Del Charco!!!!

I have to agree with some of the people talking about Dr. Delcharco's office. I had 2 back-to-back pregnancies. The wait time is AWFUL!! I saw Dr. Delcharco 3 times during the 1st pregnancy and I probably only saw him that many times because I started having problems toward the end. I must also tell you that just because you choose a doctor does not mean they will be the one delivering. There is a chance they "won't be available". Jackie Wise at Dr. Delcharco's office delivered my son because Dr. Delcharco was not available. I was unsure about a mid-wife delivering my baby but after everything was over, I sure was glad she was there. My second pregnancy Dr.Delcharco saw me only 1 time but I didn't care. I requested that Jackie deliver my daughter as well. I only go to Dr. Delcharco's office of Jackie Wise now and now that Julie Barnes is back it makes it even better. If Dr. Delcharco ever loses these 2 FABULOUS Women, I guarantee I won't come back!! Oh by the way, the office did call me a couple of months after my daughter was born to schedule me for a pregnancy class!!! I quickly informed them, I was not pregnant and if I was after 2 kids I don't need to take there pregnancy class. They also charged me $15.00 for not canceling my scheduled appointment which I could not make because I was giving birth.

OM goodness. I cannot believe you got charged for the appointment you couldn't make b/c you were in labor!! Not like they didn't know where you were.
