What was your fav gift as a new (or new again) mom to get?
Family helping you out with cleaning and cooking, a pampering gift basket or just a good friend to talk to?

I have to say for me, it was a book my mom bought me -- Eat your Peas for New Mothers.
I would read it once a day (sometimes more) and just enjoy it. And there was one page in there I really loved (I loved them all -- so pretty! -- but this one stood out.) The line was something like "This is the last night at this exact age that your child will be up with you. Enjoy it. You can sleep later."
And DD slept through the night from 2 weeks on but still, after recovering from major (unplanned) abdominal surgery, that was a long, painful first month. I loved/love that book and plan on giving it to any friend who becomes a new mom.

After the night I had w/ E last night, that is a good reminder! I just wish I could really "FEEL" that way right now Soooo tired!

Man, I wish I had known about that book a couple of years ago! I had a friend that called her "in the tummy baby" Sweet Pea. That would've been very appropriate!
