My name is Michele and I live in Summerfield over 11 years now. I am originally from PA and served in the US Navy in Hawaii for 5 years were I met my husband and been married for over 22 yrs. I am 44 yrs. old, a christian, non- smoker, and I have a beautiful 5 yr old son, soon to be 6 next month. I call him my miracle baby. My husband and I tried for many yrs. to have a child and finally 6 yrs ago our prayers were answered. It was not an easy pregnancy though. I had pain the first 3 months and had to be on bed rest. I then developed pre-eclampsia (toxemia) and had to be rushed to Shands Hospital in Gainesville to have an emergency C-section. My son was 2 months pre-mature and weighed 3 pnds.6 oz. We both almost did not make it. But with God's grace we pulled through and now my son will be 6 yrs old next month. My husband and I wanted to have another child a couple of years ago, but Doctors's said it would be too high of a risk and probably the baby and/or I would not survive next time. We were thinking of adoption, but could not afford it. So I am blessed with one beautiful son that I cherish every day. Since I am new to this site, was wondering if there are any playgroups in the area or anyone willing to start one with me. Since I am a stay at home mom and my schedule is very flexible. Also willing to babysit. We are a christian family and live in a smoke and pet free home. We love going to the pool, parks & water parks, library, shopping, watching movies and doing arts and crafts. Looking forward in meeting you'all and reading your blogs.

What a story you have, though, for your son!! I know a couple of other miracle babies, too, from people whose Dr. said they couldn't get pregnant and some were moments away from hysterectomies, etc....

Yes, Michele. Tonight was the first time I have ever looked at Ocala Mom's and I read your email. My name is Rainie and I live in Summerfield with my husband Ryon and our son Benjamin (4). I am 42 and we found out we were expecting Benjamin on our 10th anniversary. We were in the process with adoption and we have a real heart for adoption. We have a little girl we are trying to adopt right now. We are Christian's and we attend Village View Community Church and on Tuesday's after a lady's Bible study that I attend there are several of us that take the children to the park..several different ones we go to. We are also planning some Wild Water days. You are more than welcome to come be with us, email me back if you would like to come or get intouch with me. We have a great time. Mu husband is in the Navy reserves. He did active duty as well and actually was deployed for a year to Kuwait. He returned last summer. We are so thankful he is home with us now.
