My husband is looking at your town to move our family to. He will be working at one of your hospitals. Can anyone give any advice on the safest neighborhoods and the best schools for kindergarten and daycare. Thank you so much!!

Shady Hill Elementary is probably one of the best schools in Ocala. They have an wonderful administration and a very low turnover for teachers. As far as pre-schools are concerned I just researched this myself. I have four year old twins and i was trying to find a pre-kindergarten for them. I spent several weeks driving around to go on tours to local pre-schools. I also checked into their liscence. I used to own a pre-school myself. The one I was most impressed with was St. Pauls Christian School phone number 694-4219. My advice is to contact a realator and tell them you are looking to move to the area that is zoned for whatever school you choose. Good Luck!

Yep -- I agree w/mother of 6. If you're looking for a preschool preschool (not a daycare) that has a great following.
I had a principal tell me Ocala Springs actually is a really great elementary school, too, with really low turnover and great programs. I think many of the elem schools in our area are great. I know others who love Madison Street, others who love Wyomina Park, etc.... Which hospital would he work at? Good luck and welcome! Elizabeth Mommy to Jodi (4/17/06) |
