Hello to all. I'm Angela 26 yr old, 1st time mom to Ava Jade, just turn ONE Jan 25th. I can't believe it's already been a whole year. So much joy and fun she brings into our lives. We are still indecisive on wither or not to have another, she is a lot of fun, but there definitely is hard times that come with that too. I work F/T doing Bookkeeping for a construction company, so Ava goes to child care during the day. In my free time and on weekends I enjoy shopping, craft fairs, festivals, and spending time with my family and friends. I am and old-timer to the Ocala/Belleview area. We moved her when I was 6 so almost 21 years. Unfortunately I don't have many friends with children Ava's age. My good friend Angie is the closest, she is due in April with her 3rd (it's a boy).
Well thanks for the notice! I agree that it is hard and very scary. I feel the same way. I am not used to little ones anymore my 2 are older and attend school so to be doing this newborn stuff all over again it is like being a first time mom. I mean yeah I have experience but still feels completely new. I can't wait till Baby Cash is here and get to see what has been driving me crazy in my tummy for the past 7 months. But to get up in the middle of the night and to have to fully take care of someone again. I am scared. Do I have the patience to do it, will I survive. I am sure that I will be okay but the stress is there. I have you as a support and that helps out a lot.
I'm about six months pregnant with our second. It's been about 4 years since we had a newborn, and I'm nervous about remembering everything that comes along with the newborn stage too! Our new baby boy's name is Cash, too! Haven't heard of anyone else naming their baby that yet! Too cool! I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it all "just comes back" like everyone says it does.
Hi Angela...just wanted to give you some encouragement...in my experience, it definitely gets easier and more fun! I felt a lot like it was so hard at first, but my daughter is turning four in April and with each stage comes new challenges, but definitely you find your way. We are hoping to have another if we are blessed! Enjoy every moment you can, and dont be too hard on yourself.
Hi Angela, I can relate about going for round 2. I admire moms of 3 or 4 kids...how can they multitask so well? It's not fair they make me look bad -- are they human! At one point I said I wanted twins to get the package all in one birth and thank goodness that wasn't the plan.. I couldn't imagine rearing two simultaneously. I have found my way and I am alot better at planning and organizing, heck maybe I'll have another but for now I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to bring a child into the world. I am especially grateful for my evening bath..-- then the alarm clock goes off! Warmly, Melinda
