Hello ladies! I’m Melinda and a first time mom to Christopher. He’s 9 months and teaching me about life (put one foot in front of the other ---one step at a time). I’m a sahm and distributor for Juice Plus. As a family we spend a lot of time outdoors and Ocala has a beautiful playground. Thank you moms who started this! I look forward to all the advice and getting to know you.
Warmly,
Melinda

Juice Plus is 17 wholefoods in a capsule. Its not a multivitamin. Dr. Sears and many NP and Allopathic Dr's recommend this product. The company does alot of research on the product to test for results. University of Florida is one of the many colleges that do the research. I'm hosting a wellness presentation in about a month. I'll keep you posted.

It's nice to meet you apmommy but you should know that Juice Plus is garbage. There is a litany of bad press against this product that shows what a useless ripoff it really is. Lately, the company and its distributors have been trying to promote Juice Plus as an alternative to prenatal vitamins -- big mistake! It doesn't have enough of the key nutrients that prenatal supplements are supposed to contain (e.g. folate), it's completely missing some other nutrients (e.g. zinc and most B-vitamins) and it contains more than the recommended amount of several others (i.e. vitamin A, C and E).

It's a poor supplement AND it is ridiculously overpriced.

As for Dr. Sears, he sells the stuff so his word can't be trusted in this case, and the Juice Plus advertising he appeared in was deeemd to be deceptive and misleading by the Better Business Bureau. http://web.archive.org/web/20060721171257/http://www.co...-trade-106/index.htm

As for the University of Florida research you mentioned, that study (paid for by the manufacturer) showed that Juice Plus had no effect on symptoms of illness, which contradicts the misleading claims made by many of the distributors who are currently pushing the product.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate your comment, but I am convinced of JP. I think it’s important that people research into any product they are considering. I am skeptical when I find information on the internet because I’m not sure why and who is making the claim. Whenever there is a profit to be made in healthcare I wonder about negative comments? Please understand I’m not trying to convince you of JP and I especially want to be friendly. I just wanted to share my opinion. I am convinced that JP is for me and it’s not everyone’s choice, great Thank goodness we have options. I eat a very balanced diet and still have a difficult time getting 7-15 servings of fruits and veggies so when I found JP it was a perfect choice for me. I think its competitive to other products available and I like that it is studied. A lot of options out there are making claims but don’t take the time to be researched, and I don’t buy the comment about JP buying published studies - I do believe they did provide the capsules...hmm. I have read negative opinions about JP, as well as many positives, and it doesn’t effect my choice. I have personally benefitted from Juice Plus (JP). Since I have been taking this (2years) I haven’t been sick (no cold - not even sniffles) even when my husband was sick for a week and we co-sleep. JP is a dietary aide designed to compliment a healthy diet, not substitute the real thing. Dr. Sears is someone I look up to and when he endorsed JP I thought it was important, because there are so many supplements and lately all the issues with lead in gummy vitamins, it was frustrating for parents. (JP gummies are lead free) He knows that JP is a good product, otherwise I don’t believe he would use his name - he is much too respected. He suffered from colon issues and that’s how he found JP. After he found results he found the gummies were a simple way to get little ones some nutrition. Regarding the BBB on JP - that sounded like poor advertisement. Anyways, to each there own. Are you a dietician or do you work in the industry? I’m always eager to learn about nutrition. I hope this didn’t sound too defensive, but this is something I believe in. Yes, I’m a distributor, but more importantly health is important to me and when I find something good I share it. The woman who shared JP w/ me suffered from fibromyalgia and after her doctor recommended it, she had a complete recovery after taking the product. I believe people will always have something negative to find in the good, so whatever conclusions you’ve discovered I’d gladly welcome the knowledge and conversation regarding JP. Thanks for your thoughts.
Warm Regards,
Melinda

Katie, Yes - its for the whole family. Depending on age of children determines if they need the gummi, chewable, or capsule. JP Gummies offer a creative way to to consume added nutrition from 17 different fruits, veggies, gluten-free grains every day in a tasty "gummi" form. Ask about FREE JP for kids. Below is my website.
Warmly,
Melinda
