I may have to pick your brains at some point about homeschooling as we gear up (yes, we have a couple of years still, I know, lol) to start it. I just heard kindergarten isn't required by FL so we don't have to start submitting letters and doing evals until first grade?

Anytime you'd like to pick my brains, I'd be happy to share. I would double check with the county about the Kindergarten thing. As far as I know, Kindergarten is still mandatory in Florida. But a quick call to the Alternative Education Dept. should clear that up.

Are you part of any homeschooling groups in Ocala? (I know of plenty in Gainesville but would like to find one a bit more local if I could.)

There are quite a few groups in Marion County, a quick search through Yahoo Groups will bring up a ton of them. One of my favorites is a very open group, all are welcome and there is a great range of ages of the children. You can find it at the link below.
