These articles are too sad- how can you not realize your baby is still in the car?? Very, very sad!

The parents of the baby left in the car won't be charged.

this is really sad how do you not remember your baby in the car !!! and since when is going to answer the phone more important than watching your kids take a bath !!

I have to say that I don't think that I would ever forget that my child was in the car,...... maybe, but I don't think so. Such a sad story.

I understand your opinion to these situations but by only knowing what the media has displayed does not really give you any place for judgement or an idea of what both of these mothers are going through. I don't know if you have children youself but if for some reason you were to ever make any mistake with your child I would hope you would not go on the internet or your local newspaper and see judgement as you have to theses mothers.God bless both of there women because they need all the blessings they can recive right now.

I do have children. I also feel for these mothers for their tragic mistake and hope that it awakens other moms to be extremely careful and ALWAYS double check!!

MarPar, I'm sorry if you thought I was being judgemental. I can't speak for the others on here but I'm sure that I can safely say that if any of these women (and men) on here were to lose a child it would be devastating to say the least.
My heart and most sincere sympathies go out to these women....I have a 10 month old daughter and that child is the love of my life. I can NOT imagine a life without her. She is the center of my world. So if I were to make a tragic mistake such as leaving her in a hot car for two hours or going to answer the phone while she was in the tub would literally tear me apart. While I understand that both of these cases were tragic accidents they were, however, accidents that could have been avoided. Maybe I misunderstood the whole situation and I could be wrong but right now we only have one side of the whole story about the little one who died in the car. I'm just not sure how a mother and father (if the article the Star Banner reported was correct or that was all the facts that they had at the time) could go and pick up a child from daycare and then go get the mother's paycheck (which indicates to me they were in the same car) and both parents go home in the same car and if each parent gets out of the car at the same time then how in then heck do you not notice if the other parent doesn't have the child? And the baby who drowned in the tub...I have never once left my little one alone in the tub. I've had the cell phone and the landline ring when she's been in the tub but I will not answer either if they are in another room. If it's important then the person calling will leave me a voicemail on either line or if they're one of those people who hates leaving a voicemail then they'll call me back! It's as simple as that. That is why I have a hard time understanding accidents like this because nothing, and I mean nothing, is more important than the life of your child.
