What is your favorite sandwich? I'm a fan of turkey, so anything with turkey goes! I know Deli Creations makes Turkey Monterey sandwiches. Has anybody tried those sandwiches that take a minute or less to heat up?

I guess I should say if I can't get to either of those places, I'd choose a good, old fashioned BLT. Grilled cheese is always good, too.

Connecticut is the home of the grinder. They're called subs here, but in truth, they're not the same here. The bread for a grinder has a crisper crust, and grinders only (usually) have the meat (ham, italian combo, turkey, tuna fish, etc) tomato, lettuce and cheese and either oil or mayonnaise/mustard. I've tried searching high and low to find just the right kind of bread to make my own down here - not much luck. But I'll keep trying! Smiler

As for everyday lunches - love turkey! I like having it on a baquette with a slice of white cheddar or swiss, lettuce, and I spread cranberry sauce on the bread. YUM, YUM, YUM!!

And for comfort food - nothing beats a good old fashioned peanut butter and jelly!!!

I love Duke's Chessesteaks!! Terry's also has really good sandwiches. I am a big fan of the Lindy Jo.

From home I like french dips, anything with ham and Chicken club sandwich. Although I eat more turkey and mustard but only because it's healthier not because my taste buds favor it!

OMG you guys are making me crave all these sandwiches! My lunches are so short (30 mins) so I can't drive anywhere to get something. I'd just heat up a deli creations sandwich, they've got a restaurant-style without the time out of the office or expense of taking out.

Are there any top brunch spots you guys go for the weekends?

I enjoy going to Applebees for their chicken oriental wrap. I also enjoy the Marilyn wrap at Pulp Kitchen's. My favorite sandwich is at Public Deli, their italian on white is very filling. The other sandwich that I enjoy but can't get up there often is the fish sandwich at Town n' Country (Huck Finns) they have the best fish sandwich in this area.

Jodi loves Mimi's. Any time we're on that side of town to go to Sam's or the vet, she tries to sweet talk me into Mimi's. Roll Eyes

On Friday I went to Pulp Kitchen, I was seated by Marilyn Monroe, I ordered the Sliders. They are three mini burgers covered in sauteed onions and cheese, served with two large mounds of onion rings, great burgers and just the right size. My server was Sandy from "Grease" . That is a fun place to eat.

My co-worker brought me a sandwich from Havana's last week, definitely one of the best cubans I've had!
