What was your LO's first words? J's real first word was mama.

Both my kids first words were mama. I kinda cheated for that to be their first word They say their first words are usually dada because of tongue development. But me being a SAHM I was always saying to them mama and finally that was it!!! Daddy kinda hated it though...LOL

The one I nanny for she is just starting to talk and her mom was hoping her first word would be mama and so I did the same with her but it sounds kinda more like mana

My 4 year old daughter's first word was "Mama", but my 1 1/2 year old son's first word was "Dada". He STILL hasn't said Mama...I think it's a game with him now. When I say Mama, he says Dada and smiles. Oh well...can't win them all. Of course, my husband is thrilled that his son said Dada first.

Mama was def. NOT mine's 1st. I'm guessing Dada, but I don't really count that, b/c that's what most babies will say. Tractor was Cooper's 1st and Elizabeth sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star before she said anything else.

Mama was Summer's first word. She now has learned to string together the word "Mom" though when she really wants something. She'll start singing "Mom, mom, mom, mom."
