Against our efforts, our daughter is a thumbsucker. It isn't "chronic". She only does it when she's sleeping or falling asleep.

Anyone have any advice as to when and how to get her to quit. She's almost 2 and it doesn't bother me that she still does, but I'm assuming they'll be some point at which she looks a little old to do it.

Did your child grow out of it on their own or did you have to work at it?

Hello all. I actually have a three year old daughter and she likes to suck her pointing finger. I do not know how to get her to stop but she does it when she is tired and when she is sleeping. I am afraid this will mess her teeth up. Any suggestions?
