OK toddler moms I need some input...
I nanny for a baby who will be 1 next month. She has just started some finger foods. Her mom is vegetarian and ask me what kinds of foods to buy her to get her use to people food as she wants to start introducing her to people food. I came up w/ some thing as baby only has 4 front teeth so she still can't eat some stuff. What is some lunch items you give your baby/toddler? I need some more suggestions to give her momma so she can bring me some more items. As momma is not sure what to buy as this is her first child and she does want to try to get her off baby food. Thanks for any input!! Margaret, mommy to Cheyanne (10) Austin (6) Nanny to Margaret Elizabeth (1) |

Here's a thread that had a couple of comments:
Link Jodi (slow to get teeth and have interest in solids) started w/ sweet potatoes (which you could even make as sweet potato fries to make them look cooler) and then avocado, then banana. I steamed and pureed apples (I didn't buy her jar food). YoBaby yogurt still is a big hit w/ her. Grits, oatmeal, polenta, mashed up blueberries (I was always afraid of choking...)cornbread, cheese, fruit, cheerios, butternut squash, watermelon, etc... I got a lot of ideas from the Petit Appetit cookbook and then later on from Deceptively Delicious. G/l!! And I still need to get w/ you about walking. I had a test today and then a meeting to go to. Hey Elizabeth,
Thanks for some info on the food! I will pass it along. Yes, we need to get together and walk. I went today and was hoping to go again tomorrow like usual but hubby needs me tomorrow to help w/ the house as we are fixing to put it on the market to sell. So just let me know when you can go as I'm usually always there in the mornings walking Margaret, mommy to Cheyanne (10) Austin (6) Nanny to Margaret Elizabeth (1) |
