Believe me...we tried to get our daughter to use a pacifier, but she had no desire. She knew she had her thumb and that's all she wanted. We have ultrasound pics of her sucking her thumb.

I have no idea where to start when it comes to getting her to give up the thumbsucking. She's almost 21 months. Is it even worth worrying about yet? Anyone out there already been through this?

We tried several brands of pacifiers (b/c the kid literally would have nursed the entire day if I had let her) before we finally found one she'd even consider (hurt me so much b/c I was a total pacifier addict, lol. Sniff.)
She likes her thumb, too. At almost 26 mos, I've noticed it has tapered off on its own and she only sucks her thumb if she's really tired now (as in just about asleep.)
My personal take is she's still young and I bet she'll outgrow it.
Of course, if she's still sucking it in college, well, then there might be a cause for concern. lol
