An unfortunate side-effect of giving birth are those, not so friendly, hemorrhoids. Here's some ways to treat them.

  • Sprinkly baking soda directly where it itches.
  • Take warm baths with baking soda water.
  • Use witch hazel pads instead of toilet paper in the bathroom.
  • Eat lots of fiber and drink lots of water to prevent constipation.

The blow-up doughnut cushion thing was my best friend for awhile. It went everywhere w/ me.

Do you have any cures, treatments or advice for someone that may have or get them for the first time?

I'm just glad I never had to deal w/ these! I was prepared for them -- my hair stylist told me all the stuff that people don't talk about when you're pregnant, lol, so I kept waiting for them to happen just during pregnancy even. Thank goodness I avoided that part!

(That nasty snake is still staring at me as I type this....It's right below where the typing-the-message box is, lol.)
