I have a whiner in my house right now. It seems to be the next stage after temper-tantrums.

How do you handle the whining stage? Do you give into the whining?

Here's 6 ways to stop whining.

I NEVER give into the whining...that will just make it continue. My kids don't whine, because they know it will not get them what they want. I have always said, "Don't whine...you will NEVER get what you want that way". And as soon as they realize that I mean it, they stop. It really is that simple. If you give into it even one time, you will have one heck of a time stopping it! I also say, "Don't whine, TELL me what you want/need. I can't understand what you are saying when you whine". And they speak to me in a normal tone to tell me what they want/need.
