Anybody watch it? What did you think?
I only saw snippets but the Americans did look pretty fancy in their outfits.

Elizabeth,

IF you can, get a copy of the ceremony itself (about 1.5 hours), before the Parade of Athletes began.

It was one of the most visually stunning, spectacular uses of humanity and technology that I have ever witnessed. The genius behind the scenes was almost scary in his precise and absolutely amazing choreography (I guess you'd call it); use of computers and lights and photography and imagery; and synchronization of people of all ages from all parts of Chinese society. And in between, he encompassed the major dynasties and religions of the Chinese. Fantastic.

Wow -- it was something I will never forget (can you tell?).

American children who watched the show will be mesmerized and want to learn how to do that on their computers! HA I predict a wave of college courses on his techniques.

I'll have to google it after J goes down tonight! I just saw it and thought it must have taken tremendour organization to pull that off w/ all those people!!
We watched some of the games today -- I even found the W's volleyball entertaining!
