Okay - I'll comment on this. When Christopher started school - childcare was my worst nightmare. I panicked and fretted, and pestered everyone I knew with kids about what they did for the summer, researched tons of places (and some I wouldn't send my nemisis to). Finding someplace and someone for the summer was a pain - especially worse for those 1 or 2 days off that they have every month during the school year, never mind the holiday and spring breaks. Thank-goodness I work for the school board now and have the same days off as Christopher!! But let me go back to what I went through...

For summer camp, 1st tried a very popular church's summer camp for a month - and will never again. Never enough supervision and never enough activities for the kids. One instance was that they took my son to the movies (free movies days) when I specifically told them not to and did not sign any permission slip to go. I worked for the police department at the time, and we always got phone calls about daycares and camps "accidently" leaving a kid behind. I could easily see this happening with my son. Then I went to a local gymnastics center - I sent Christopher there for a trial during one of the days off in the spring and it turns out that they was the only place to trust. They were clean, kept the kids busy, and had adequate supervision and safety. I'd send him there again if I had to....BUT THANK-GOODNESS I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SUMMER CAMP AGAIN!!!!
