Wondering if anyone else had any children in Relative Placement. I have my step-daughters 7m daughter and I am really struggling with it. Not because of the baby but because of all of the drama and family issues. Does anyone else have these issues too?

It's where DCF takes a child from their parents and places it with a relative instead of a foster home.

I am the Director of a program at Kids Central that assists relative caregivers. There are over 6,000 relative caregivers in Marion County. So, you are not alone! We have a support groups that just started last Monday as well as other services. If you are interested, you can call Melissa Casto at 873-6332.
