I am travelling to Ocala this summer for work and would love to bring my 6 year old son with me at least part of the time. I am looking for a day camp that he can attend/enjoy on a week to week basis.

Any ideas?

Make sure you pick up the Summer Activity Guide from Family Times due out May 1st. Or go to their website at www.enjoyfamilytimes.com
You will deff. find something for your child to do this summer in Ocala.

The YMCA has a Summer Day Camp and some of the local churches offer camps. Balcony is a good place, our daughter worked there for two Summers.

I have now had 2 referrals to Balcony but know nothing about what/where that is. Can someone please provide a phone number or web address so that I can get additional information? I am not from Ocala so not too familiar with the area. We will be spending the summer in a hotel off 200? Will Balcony be convenient to that area?

Thanks bunches!!

www.balconysports.com 352-401-3663

This is pretty close to the hotels on 200

click on "topics" in the top right corner...scroll down and click on "children", "childcare", "camp". There is a million camp/childcare ideas in that thread.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I did call them, but I guess I should have stated the question differently. I want to know if anyone has actually had their child/ren their, and how it is. Sorry for the confusion. Big Grin

Make sure to check out Monday's Star-Banner (and/or Ocala.com) in the "Live & Learn" features section...

There will be a story about summer camps and a local directory listing.

Once it is up on Ocala.com, I will put a link to it up on the OcalaMom.com home page flipper.

Stay tuned!
