ARGH! Our power has been mainly off since 7 p.m. all along our street -- heard the transformer thingamajig blowing. I have been hunched over tiny, tiny Power Point print-out print w/ a flashlight cramming for a test tomorrow! It came on once for a minute, cut out. Thirty-ish minutes later, came back on for 2 minutes. Knock on wood, it's been on about 5 minutes now. Woo hoo. Don't want to get carried away here.
Anyone else living via candlelight tonight, lol? Elizabeth Mommy to Jodi (4/17/06) |

Our power went out about 12:10 this afternoon and stayed off until 5:00 pm today. We have a standby generator that kicked on, but after 3 hours of it running, my husband turned it off to conserve propane. So, my son and I went shopping and hubby took a nap!

If I didn't have this test and it were earlier, shopping sounds delightful!!
Ours has stayed on since the 3 tricky short burts of power. They called (since they do when you report it at OEU) and said htey'd had a heck of a time fixing it. Obviously. Elizabeth Mommy to Jodi (4/17/06) |

I guess we had it good here in NW Ocala. We lost power all over about 20 seconds and then it came back on and didn't lose it again. The wind and trees were sure blowing around, look like they could snap. Thankfully they didn't!!
