I was wondering if anybody knew of any good wedding locations? I haven't found any that are at a resonable price just wondering if anybody knew of one.

For the reception I"m guessing?

Indoors or outdoors?

I instantly thought that Carney Island would be a really pretty place (from what I remember of it last visiting like 3 years ago....) for a casual outdoor one. Not even sure if that's possible.

For my wedding, there weren't many reception halls at all to choose from. We ended up renting the social hall at my church back home and having a decorator pretty up the inside. It looked really pretty (never seen it look so pertty before, lol -- i.e. was older and has those nasty accordion-style closing doors between the rooms on the side.)
Anyway, we had to get creative and it turned out nicely.

Don't know how upscale you are wanting, so I'm not sure if this is going to help you or not.

My hubby and I got married 3 years ago at the Ramada in Ocala on 27. We used their banquet hall and it was $500 for the room for 7 hours, you can divide the room into two rooms if needed, we had 97 people at our wedding and we had PLENTY of room and it has a dance floor. They offer the outside garden area for outdoor wedding. Just a thought. And their food ranges from $13 to $17 a head with appetizers and salads. They also have a drink package. It turned out very very nice.

Just a thought. Hope it helps.

Our daughter got married at the Pioneer Garden Club. It was a Sunday wedding so it cost half the price. You can also check out Silver Springs Attraction they have an area to hold weddings. Check with places like the community centers in different subdivisions. Rainbow Springs may allow a ceremony by the head waters but I don't know if they have a building for a reception. Hope we helped.

I got married 5 years ago and held my reception at the Ocala Municipal Golf Course on 40 across from Wendy's. They only charged me $500.00 for the place and allowed me to bring in my own bar and caterer's. I had 200 people at my reception and they already have their own tables their as well as a full kitchen you can use. I had the place from open to close as well. Also if you need help with cater's Blessing table catering is wonderful!

Ocala is such pretty town. It is a shame there aren't more wedding locations. I heard Golden Ocala is nice too.

Hi All,
I am new to this site, I think it's wonderful... The Country Golf Course(not too sure of the name) down on 40 close to the Museum, has a nice place that they rent out for a reasonable rate, they also have a nice kitchen that you can hire a caterer and they can prepare it all on the premises. You might want to check it out. Also contact Ocala City parks, they also have a list of places that they rent out very resonable too! If you need any help let me know.
