This Saturday ends the 3rd decade of my life and Sunday begins the 4th! Eeker I know "they" say 30 is the new 20, but it doesn't feel like it right now. Smiler My hubby teases me and says I'm having my first mid-life crisis. I can see where he's coming from. Wink

Beginning a new chapter of your life sometimes means that you are forced to evaluate where you've been and what you've accomplished. It also allows you to look ahead and continue to dream and make goals for yourself.

30 is a little scary for me. It makes me feel like I'm just going to turn into a "grown-up". I just don't feel like a grown-up yet.

What age is/was a scary one for you? Or are you ready to take on the world at any age? Any words of wisdom for a soon to be 30 yr. old? Smiler

LOL..I will be 30 next month. I haven't went through mid life crisis at least not like my DH did when he turned 25 and then again at 30. He liked freaked out. I guess because I don't feel that old it hasn't bothered me?? Plus when people have asked me how old I am and I tell them they are like I was thinking you were early 20's. Made me feel good Smiler I guess my kids keep me young feeling. Especially nights like tonight. Me and my DD (age 9) had a girls night out and we went shopping and dinner and left the guys home to fend for themselves Smiler Maybe as August gets closer maybe it might bother me but I doubt it. Smiler

I am 32 now and I know 30 was a big mark for me. I am an older mommy compared to alot of people so that was hard for me. When my daughter is 18 I will be 48 and that just scares me that I will not be as hip of a mom or as active of a mom.

Oh come on Shannonandemily, you can be hip and active at 48....what are you talking about Cool. I'm nowhere near 48 but 48 is still young. There are some children who will be 18 and their parents will be in their 70's. Heck some kid have parents who are already legally senior citizens Big Grin

Well, I'd say the 40's scare me. It just seems to me that that time frame is a "holding pattern." You're 20's your still figuring out life, 30's your getting it down pat, 50's your just starting to see that retirement day down the road and making plans for enjoying your 2nd wind at life, and usually spoiling the grandchildren at this point, 60's your there (late 60's now), 70's rocking in that rocking chair on the front porch, 80's well...I'm hoping I make it that far! Wink 40's I'm not too keen on, and I've got to get settled with that soon! I'll be 39 this October! Eeker

Have you all ever sat down and just thought about memories? Thinking back when you were a kid playing or old school buddies. Those memories feel like yesterday then you remember how long ago it was then you get depressed Big Grin. This happens to me when I look at old movies. I remember going to see them then I look at what year it was made and almost fall out.
