Well, when the tooth fairy came for the 1st two teeth, she paid $1.00 per tooth. But then, I found out my son and his friends at school have been talking and it seems the tooth fairy at our house has been cheap!! About the average is now $5.00 a tooth, and some fairies are very generous at $10.00 to--ack!!--$20.00 a tooth!!

The tooth fairy increased to $5.00 here. I won't go any more than that!

$10- $20 a tooth?? I better start saving now!!! Geez.
Even $5 sounds high! Didn't I used to get, hmmm, .50 a tooth? (Actually, I don't remember but it certainly wasn't more than $1.)

we have two looseing teeth right now and a third soon (the last is still getting teeth)
what we have done is for the first tooth lost give a speical coin like a silver dollar so they know its special (tyr and keep it for them I let mine spend it )

after that it moved on to 5 dollars but that bombed out when my daughter got upset she only got "A DOLLAR" hehehe so hubby decided to start giving them quarters a few stacks depending on how much we had around the house it worked like a charm she was so thrilled at that stack

I then got creative with it and have some confetti and other spakley things to put into a bad where she puts the tooth in so she can get her money (works great for keeping the teath too) so I cut up of just add the glitter what ever I have on hand now its moved to a few dollars havent hit 5 again yet for a reg tooth but the second oldest lost two in one weekend so she got a $10 bill since she was thoughtful enough to put her $4 back in the bag with the glitter and all to ask if it could be exchanged for more money. so she got the $10 and ALOT of glitter plus a few hair barettes ( i had them laying around why not)
turns out she likes the hair stuff more and wants to add rings and necklaces to it so I have told her I'll talk to the tooth fairy and see what she is willing to do.. it bets having to run out to the local stores to buy her something with her new money.
