I am a Mom of two. One is in fourth grade and the other is is in third grade. My older will be twelve years of age this coming November. I am not familiar with how elementary to middle school to high school work. What age or what grade? To top this, I just moved to SW from NE; so I am not really familiar with the schools sorounding SW area or which district will my children need to attend for next school year. Any information will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Middle school starts with 6th grade, with high school starting 9th grade. I'm assuming you're still in Marion County, so you can contact the Marion County School Board at 671-7700 and give them your address and they in turn can tell you which schools you are zoned for, bus routes, etc.
