the verbal bullying is more difficult to deal w/ than the physical bullying because the scars are invisible to the naked eye.
however, i live by the rule that i will stand up to any bully even if i am shaking in my pants. :-) i teach my kids the same. it has served to keep me from getting beat up as a kid and kept prior boyfriends from even thinking about bullying me. a bully bullys those they can get away with. btw - my daughter stood up to a bully twice her size and that bullying stopped pronto. |

This makes me sick to my stomach. I agree with "luv2ebay" though, the mean things that kids say when you are young stay with you forever. I still remember things I got picked on about. It's sad that kids are as young as SEVEN dealing with this. People don't seem to know how to raise thier kids with empathy and kindness anymore. It makes me very sad. I worry about this especially with Makily. With her being disabled she is an easy target. This is why I practically beg EVERY PARENT I am in contact with to PLEASE teach your kids tolerance and acceptance of children that are different than you. ![]() Lead Moderator ocalamomhost@ocala.com |

If I knew my kids were bullies, I would put an end to it anyway I knew possible. My oldest son is very passive & yes he's smart & labeled a "nerd." He's in middle school & I make it a point to make sure things are ok with him. He keeps to himself, dosen't have alot of friends, but all of his teachers love him to death. He's very respectable to everyone and I'm so proud of him for that. And I tell him all the time how proud he makes me & I woulnd't want him to change one bit.
