The first Gator game is this weekend. My husband is so excited and I'm a little excited, too

Anyone else going to be parked in front of the TV? Any special plans?

What about fun food you're planning on making to nibble on during the game?

My Mom just heard about a recipe for Gator salad. Any kind of lettuce w/ manderin oranges and blueberries w/ a sweet vinegarette dressing.

College football, YES! But, we're not a gator family. Out of state- Big 12 conference.

What else do you put in the salad?

My family has gone to the games for years. Since Jodi, I don't go anymore but we usually go up to Gville to hang out w/ my family at the hotel. However, Sat's game is SO early (hot, hot!!!) that by the time we got up there they'd be leaving.

If you are going -- you saw the announcement about wearing white for White Out Cancer day?

Basically, the oranges and blueberries are the only "required" part...(Gator colors)...you can put whatever else you want in it. I think my Mom said that there were onions (which I don't prefer so they won't be in ours), and some kind of nut...toasted pecans are my favorite. Feta cheese would be yummy, too!

This may seem a bit inappropriate but does anyone know anyone that would like to purchase a ticket for the gator game this weekend? A guy that I work with just backed out on it.

You normally wear whatever you want (except like vs Tennessee -- since they have orange, you usually try to wear blue.)

But this is just some special thing they're doing for this game. they're giving out GatorShade hats, etc... I know I got stuff about it from alumni stuff, college of nursing looking for us to volunteer to hand out the hats, etc.... Bet it will be in the paper closer to the game.

Well...I think I have Gator Fever too...I got into the Gator Band!!! I'm so excited!! I'll be there tomorrow, playing in the stands...I find out today if I have a spot on the field for the first show. (I missed most of camp, thats why I didnt have a spot) Wish me Luck..GOOOO GATORS!!!

I love football!!! College or pro. We're not a Gator family either but we are a rival team family. We love the Kentucky Wildcats! So another SEC team. Guess we'll be seeing the Gators in the Swamp on Oct 25.

So I'll be watching this weekend when the Cats take on one of our most hated rivals the Louisville Cardnials. I'm so happy that football is back!
