Lets embrace springtime. Share your favorite spring craft here. Make sure you give good directions so that others can follow them.

Over the next month or so, make a spring craft project with your kids and take a picture to post on OcalaMom.

(you don't have to post a picture...we would still love to have some great ideas!)

This is a project I always did w/ my Kindergarten students. It is easy and cheap and the kids see great results. This would even be a great outdoor activity for a playgroup.

FUZZY GRASS CATERPILLARS
Pantyhose
Potting Soil
Grass seed
Pipe Cleaner
Googly Eyes
Glue

Cut pantyhose off above the ankle so that the foot portion is still in tact. Mix potting soil and grass seed in a bucket. Stuff the pantyhose with mixture. Tie open end in a small knot. Use pipe cleaners to make antenna (twist around small knot). Glue on googly eyes.

Water every day and make sure it gets some sunlight. Eventually the grass will grow through the pantyhose and will make a fuzzy grass caterpillar!
