Children who want to set aside their toy trucks to ride real construction equipment, or adults who are ready for all-terrain fun should attend the 6th Annual Dozer Day event on Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 9am-4pm at the Florida Horse Park located at 11008 S. Hwy 475. Dozer Day gives people of all ages the opportunity to ride and explore giant military vehicles, experience a helicopter water drop, hunt for hidden treasures, and many more educational and fun activities. Admission to this unique Construction Theme Park is $10 for all attendees and includes unlimited rides on the equipment and admission into the Construction School. Event Committee Member, Ocala City Councilman Kent Guinn states, " With so many children in the area in need of child abuse intervention and prevention services, Children's Home Society and Marion County Roadbuilders Association are proud to present an event that will directly benefit those children most in need." For those interested in attending Dozer Day, helping through volunteer work, hosting a birthday party at Dozer Day, please call 866.427.5451 or visit www.DozerDayFlorida.com. If you are interested in learning more about Children's Home Society, the programs we provide, or the children we serve, please call 866.427.5451 or visit www.chsfl.org.
