T-ball has probably already started, but the City runs a great program as well and you can call City Parks and Rec to ask - 368-5550.
We did T-ball at the Y many years ago and it was not well organized. We tried it about 3 times, and also tried soccer and basketball. We then went to the City and had great experiences. It has been awhile (probably 6 years) so the Y may be better now. Since we're not members, it was more expensive at the Y and I was just happier with the City, but again it has been awhile so things could be different.
Regarding T-ball, my youngest son plays for the City. It is called Mighty Mites. THe price for the city is a $40 registration and this includes their team shirt and hat. They practice one day a week and games are on Saturday mornings at Jervey Gant Park. Contact Steve Dixon @ 401-3909. He is the head of the program and a super nice guy. He can give you all the specifics. This is our second child to play for them and our second season with Josh. We couldn't be happier! Good luck! Hope this helped.

Hi, Just wanted to let you know the YMCA does not do t-ball anymore. They do soccer, basketball, and flag football. My boys are doing basketball now and they are having a great time. The coaches have been great. I am happy to get the info on t-ball for the city. I have twin 4 year olds and I have been wanting them to try t-ball. Thanks for the info.
The City will be having t-ball registrations on August 7, 14, 21 and 28 (Thursdays) from 6 - 8PM and August 23 and 30 from 10AM - Noon (Saturdays) at Ocala Sports in the Churchill Square Plaza on SE 17th St. Registration fee is $40 and a copy of a birth certificate is needed at time of registration. Ages for t-ball is 4 - 7. For more information contact Steve Dixon at 401-3909.
