How often do you take your recyclables to the recycle place? Seems like a lot of work! Sure wish the city would start a pick up service! I would love to do our part!

We're doing pretty good since starting. We're just using a couple of med. sized boxes, so we go about once a week. There is a nice recycling center in the Walmart parking lot on the way out to Wild Waters. So I just drop mine off on the way out there. Pretty easy!

We go about twice a month. The nice thing about the stackable drawer system is that you can slide the drawer right out, evrything's sorted and we load them into the trunk. So far it's working...

Hi! A friend was moving out of Ocala, she had a bunch of soda cans she was going to recycle did not have the time, so i told my son, lets bring them to the recycle place and see what we can get for them and then he can buy a new video game, well... we went and we got 23.00 dollars, he thought it was the coolest thing ever, now we have set up our own recycle bins and he looks forward to filling it up and going back, so cool...Thanks for the ideas.

I have discovered that apparently there are two different programs that are used for recycling. One for the city of Ocala itself and one for those that pay the solid waste assessment fee.
This is the reply that I got from writing an email to the county about recycling as I was confused about what could and couldn't be recycled.
