Some of you might have read my other post about our potty experiences today...yea, but there's more to the story.

I decided that when we got back from our vacation this summer, that I would start taking potty training a little more seriously. My son was soooo easy and Im kind of expecting the same of my daughter.....when she's ready.

We changed her bed to a big girl bed, so that she can get in and out to potty if she needs to today and so it began. I've had a lot of people recommend to let them walk around w/ out bottoms on so that they can see that when they have "that sensation" that something "comes out".

This morning we got rid of the diaper and sure enough...about 30 min. later, I was cleaning up pee off the floor. But...the next 2 pees and 1 poop were in her potty! YEA! (I'm also using MnMs for incentive). Since then, however I have cleaned up sooooo much pee off the floor. Is this the way it is supposed to work? Am I missing part of the process? Does this mean that she's not ready yet? There has to be an easier way!

HELP!

We went/still go at home bottomless. Much easier. Jodi's so verbal I made it a very verbal experience.
Everytime she went I commented that -- oh, that's pee. That's poop. You're peeing. No matter potty or floor. Within a couple of days the floor was pretty clean again, she knew what was what (we had been discussing it for weeks when she used her diapers to help). Smiler
I acted very casual about stuff on the floor, but did lots of singing for her when on the potty. G/l!!

i potty trained my son in 3 days at the age of 3. i found a little urinal at walmart and he used it . he was too short for the potty and had to take off his clothes waist down and he and i didnt like that. but he LOVED the urinal. but after the excitement of it all he doesnt use it now. the potty is 40.00 it seems like a lot but think of that or pull ups. which i never used. but i do still have it and would sell if for 20.00 if anyone is interested.

My daughter used the potty for both pee and poop, but I couldn't get her to do it "full time". She would still go in her diaper or pull up when she was playing, so I tried putting her in a pair of regular underwear. She picked them out, and she wore them all day. All it took was one time for her to pee in her pretty princess underwear, and the pee to run down her leg, and that was it. She has only had a few accidents since.

My mom said the girly underwear did it for me. I got to pick them out -- pretty flower ones -- and never had any more accidents.
