Child care costs are not cheap!
For a lot of families, the cost of child care equates to a parent's salary. What are your thoughts on child care costs? Elizabeth Mommy to Jodi (4/17/06) |

This topic was up for discussion in my home over a year ago when we were deciding if I should stay home or not. My 1 yr old contracted MRSA and was in the hospital for over a week. So we had hospital expenses, day care to pay (even if he doesn't go, it holds his spot), and I took days without pay from work. That was when we decided it would be more cost effective for me to stay home. It has been very tight though financially. My hubby works for the school system too so his salary doesn't make ends meet. We are trying to figure out what to do this year. All that being said, I think you get what you pay for when it comes to child care.

It is so very true, you get what you pay for. I did go thru the issue that it is so expensive that you only break even especially when you have to stay home with them when they are sick and Dr bills...shoot I thought just not working saved me $. Unfortunatly, I am a single mother now and the sole provider for my children, I don't have any option.
