Hi Ladies,
I'm an office manager for a large Thoroughbred farm, thinking of going part time this summer, so I may do some research in daycare. Our son, Benjamin he is 1, will be going to Highland, does anyone else go there? Also, We are planning our second child but there is no way I will be able to work full time and we have 16 acres w/ 8 horses, and I'm going to real-estate school. Is there a daycare that will only charge you for 1/2 days. I will have to quit my job which scars the heck out of me or find a daycare that will with my schedule. Or are there any other horsey moms out there? |

Maybe a nanny might work? I would imagine for half days, it would still be cheaper than day care for 2.
We found babysitters for DD (I started grad school almost a month ago) and have been very happy. It costs me less than a day care commitment and I have more control over the situation. Of course, I researched the heck out of them and they hang around the medical complex area where I am. Good luck in your search! I hope you find the best situation for you!! I'm the one in school.
DD has a nanny on campus while I'm in classes. Elizabeth Mommy to Jodi (4/17/06) |

ah, I see. What are you going to school for? I hope to finish real estate this summer I know the market is bad but everthing always comes full circle. I'm not looking to get rich just spend more time with my son! I'm going to specialize in farms.

Good luck w/ everything w/ school!! It's definitely harder w/ kids but still a great feeling of accomplishment.
I am actually in the accelerated BSN program at UF -- it's for people who have previous bachelor's degrees and is extremely competitive to get in to. You get your bachelor's in nursing in 13 mos and then I plan on fast tracking over to the doctorate of nursing in practice to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. This will be my 3rd bachelor's so it's time to move up a level, lol. We started clinicals this week and that was lots of fun. Except for the getting up at 4 a.m. bit to be at Shands on time.
